Omani Military Hajj Mission Returns Safely After Successful Pilgrimage

Muscat, Oman – The Sultanate of Oman’s military Hajj mission has successfully returned home after completing the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This important spiritual journey included members of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security units.

Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) aircraft transported the delegation back to Oman. They landed at Al Seeb Air Base on Tuesday, where they were welcomed by Major General (Retd.) Hamad Sulaiman Al Hatmi, along with senior military officers and security personnel.

The mission included both pilgrims and administrative staff. All individuals performed the Hajj rituals without any difficulties and returned in excellent health. Their smooth journey reflects the high level of planning and support provided throughout the pilgrimage.

This annual military pilgrimage is conducted under the direct guidance of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The Moral Guidance and Military Protocol Department of SAF manages the operation each year.

To ensure efficiency, the department coordinated with several key organizations. These included the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the Omani Hajj Mission, and the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Oman. Their cooperation ensured that all pilgrims received proper logistical, religious, and medical support.

Additionally, a specialized team accompanied the mission. This team included experts in medical services, technical support, media, and logistics. Their presence helped resolve issues quickly and kept the mission running smoothly.

This successful return demonstrates Oman’s continued commitment to the spiritual and emotional well-being of its armed forces personnel. It also highlights the nation’s ability to coordinate large-scale religious missions with precision and care.

As the military pilgrims return to their duties, their experience strengthens national pride and deepens their connection to faith and country.
