Oman Unveils Global Tourism Promotion Strategy for 2025

Berlin, Germany – The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has announced its ambitious foreign promotional campaign for 2025, aiming to position Oman as a premier international travel destination. The initiative was unveiled during ITB Berlin, one of the world’s largest tourism events, highlighting Oman’s commitment to boosting its global tourism footprint.

Strategic Global Expansion

As part of the programme, the Ministry will establish tourism representation offices in key international markets, including China, Russia, Spain, Latin America, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. This expansion will strengthen Oman’s tourism presence and attract a diverse range of visitors.

Collaborating with International Tourism Giants

To enhance global visibility, the Ministry is partnering with 80 leading tourism companies to conduct joint promotional campaigns across China, India, GCC countries, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Northern Europe, and Belgium.

Massive Global Marketing & Media Outreach

Oman’s tourism drive will include:

  • Advertising on public transport (taxis, buses, train stations)
  • Promotions in major shopping malls and billboard campaigns
  • 50 international media campaigns in collaboration with top global media outlets
  • Strategic television advertising on major networks
  • Participation in 23 global tourism exhibitions and promotional workshops

Enhancing Travel Industry Partnerships

To attract more visitors, the Ministry will collaborate with global airlines and regional carriers in the GCC, further improving connectivity to Oman. Additionally, the programme will feature 100 familiarization trips for international tourism professionals and media representatives to showcase Oman’s diverse attractions.

Leveraging Digital & Social Media

In a bid to engage global travelers, the Ministry will launch targeted social media campaigns through platforms like Experience Oman, ensuring widespread digital outreach.

A Bold Step Towards Oman Vision 2040

With this comprehensive promotional strategy, Oman is set to strengthen its position as a world-class travel destination, aligning with Oman Vision 2040 to enhance tourism’s contribution to the national economy.
