Indian Students in Oman Complete CBSE Class 12 Exams for 2024–25 Academic Year

Hundreds of Indian students living in Oman have successfully completed their CBSE Class 12 exams for the 2024–25 academic session. The examinations were conducted over several weeks, involving students not only in Oman but also across India and other international locations.

Exams Held Across Science, Commerce, and Humanities Streams

This year’s CBSE board exams covered more than 120 subjects, spanning the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams. According to feedback from students and educators, most question papers adhered closely to the official syllabus and offered a balanced level of difficulty.

In the Science stream, subjects like Biology and Computer Science featured a thoughtful mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Commerce students noted that Accountancy and Economics papers were fair and manageable. Meanwhile, students from the Humanities stream described exams such as Political Science and History as being straightforward and focused on core concepts.

NEP 2020-Driven Question Paper Updates

A notable change this year was the introduction of competency-based questions, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. These updates aim to promote critical thinking and reduce over-reliance on memorization. Students experienced more application-based and analytical questions, especially in core subjects.

Next Steps: Evaluation and Results Timeline

With the written exams now concluded, the CBSE is expected to start the evaluation process shortly. Students and parents are advised to keep an eye on official CBSE portals for timely updates on Class 12 result announcements. According to local media, results are tentatively expected in May.
