Muscat – The third edition of the Gulf Tkatuf Exhibition wrapped up on Saturday, attracting 200 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from Oman and across the GCC. The three-day event was a significant platform for empowering entrepreneurs, fostering business partnerships, and expanding market opportunities.

Held in collaboration with the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, the exhibition aimed to enhance business opportunities in alignment with Oman Vision 2040. This vision emphasizes the importance of SMEs as a cornerstone of the national economy, and the event sought to open new horizons for businesses while strengthening strategic partnerships.

Under the patronage of H E Dr. Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed al Saqri, Minister of Economy, the exhibition showcased a diverse array of innovative products and services from SMEs. H H Sayyida Hujaija Jaifer Saif al Said, the organiser of the event and founder of Links for Community Initiatives, shared her perspective on the exhibition’s purpose: “The exhibition was launched to support SMEs, promote their products and services, and create new business opportunities through collaboration with various stakeholders.”

Organised by the Omani event management company, Links for Community Initiatives, the exhibition emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and regional cooperation. This year’s edition featured numerous SMEs from Oman, including those with approved trademarks, alongside ventures from other GCC countries, reflecting the growing interest of regional entrepreneurs in partnering with Omani businesses.

A standout feature of this year’s exhibition was its partnership with Oman Tourism College. The collaboration provided students with hands-on experience in event management and coordination, offering them valuable industry insights. H H Sayyida Hujaija expressed hope that the students gained practical knowledge from working alongside the exhibition staff, further enhancing their skills in business and management.

With strong participation from local and regional SMEs, the Gulf Tkatuf Exhibition has once again proven to be a vital platform for entrepreneurship in the region, contributing to the ongoing development of the SME sector in Oman and beyond
