Rap Star Yella Beezy Arrested for Capital Murder in Mo3 Case

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, Dallas police arrested rapper Yella Beezy at 4:54 p.m. Officer Eric Barnes led the takedown. Consequently, they booked the 33-year-old, real name Markies D. Conway, into Dallas County Jail. The charge? Capital murder linked to rapper Mo3’s 2020 death. Earlier, on March 18, a warrant hit after a grand jury’s accusation.

The Alleged Plot Unraveled

The indictment claims Yella Beezy hired Kewon White to kill Mo3, whose real name was Melvin Noble. Specifically, it alleges payment fueled the hit. On November 11, 2020, two gunmen struck. They ambushed Mo3 on Interstate 35, shooting him dead mid-drive. Meanwhile, White earned a 105-month federal prison sentence in May 2022 for the murder and gun charges. However, the second shooter, Devin Maurice Brown, Jr., 27, took a plea deal. As a result, he left prison on February 16, 2025. Brown admitted a personal motive—rage over a video of Mo3 with his girlfriend. Together, he and White tracked Mo3 for 24 hours before the attack.

Legal Stakes and Social Media Twist

Now, Yella Beezy sits in jail without bail. Soon, he’ll face arraignment in Dallas County’s Criminal District Court No. 3 under Judge Audra Riley. If convicted, he risks execution or life imprisonment. Strangely, hours after his arrest, he posted on Instagram Stories. The upbeat message about money-making linked to Telegram and read, “It’s been a solid month. Shoutout to my guy who been making me…”

A Rivalry Turned Deadly

The feud between Yella Beezy and Mo3 ignited in 2017. Both rappers climbed to fame then. Tensions boiled over in 2019 when Mo3 missed a Frisco concert headlined by Yella Beezy, Future, and Juice WRLD. Angrily, Mo3 blamed Yella Beezy for his exclusion and arrest there on a warrant. In contrast, Yella Beezy denied it all. Today, this rivalry fuels a grim capital murder saga.
